On Friday, September 30^th, the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at Kings Point will host a brief ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of USMMA’s Pollinator Garden. The ceremony will be held at USMMA’s McNulty Campus, home to the American Merchant Marine Museum.  The Honorable Paul N. Jaenichen, Sr., Maritime Administrator will be joined by Rear Admiral James A. Helis, Superintendent, Andrew Breck and Dr.

KINGS POINT, N.Y., September 22, 2016 — Yesterday, maritime professionals and hiring managers from 23 companies, federal agencies, and maritime-related organizations participated in the United States Merchant Marine Academy’s (USMMA) annual career fair, Sea Fair 2016, held in O’Hara Hall.

KINGS POINT, N.Y., Spetember 20, 2016 - USMMA Homecoming, an annual event hosted by the USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation, will be held next weekend.

KINGS POINT, N.Y., September 9, 2016 – Today, President Barack Obama, proclaimed Friday, September 9 through Sunday, September 11, 2016, as National Days of Prayer and Remembrance. He asked that the people of the United States "honor and remember the victims of September 11, 2001, and their loved ones through prayer, contemplation, memorial services, the visiting of memorials, the ringing of bells, evening candlelight remembrance vigils, and other appropriate ceremonies and activities."

KINGS POINT, N.Y., September 9, 2016 - Yesterday, United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) Midshipmen attended a pep rally in anticipation of the Secretaries' Cup, an annual football game between USMMA and The United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA). The midshipmen also unveiled their latest USCGA challenge video which can be viewed by clicking "Beat Coast Guard Video."

KINGS POINT, N.Y., September 6, 2016 – Midshipmen at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) enjoyed the holiday weekend with their families and friends who joined them for Parents Weekend. Over 1,500 guests joined their Midshipmen for a full weekend of activities that included tours, classroom visits and a formal parade.
