Competitive Club Sports
The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) sponsors a full program of Club Sports designed to complement its Varsity Intercollegiate sports. These interest-driven programs are essential for midshipmen, providing opportunities to develop and hone athletic skills, leadership, management, and teamwork, professional qualities that will benefit participants throughout their lives. The Competitive Club Sport Program promotes physical well-being, health, and fitness, while also serving individual interests through social and recreational opportunities.

Membership in all USMMA clubs, including these competitive sports, is open to all individuals regardless of background, race, sex, age, or prior experience level.
