Big Weekend for USMMA Swimming, Diving, Wresting and Basketball

KINGS POINT, N.Y., Feb. 16, 2016 – This past weekend was a very busy and successful one for a number of our U.S. Merchant Marine Academy athletic teams!

The Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Teams competed in the Landmark Championship Meet, and at the end of the three-day event the Mariner men captured their ninth-straight league championship! And the women finished in third place! On Saturday, the Wrestling Team placed second at the Centennial Conference Championships, and in Men’s Basketball action, senior David Smith became the 27th Mariner in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau
