Captain Preston De Jean is an Associate Professor of Business and Maritime Law in the Department of Marine Transportation, Business Division and is currently serving as the Assistant Academic Dean for Support Programs.  He is a former lieutenant colonel in the United States Army, having served on active and reserve status.  He is also a licensed attorney in the state of Louisiana, having practiced in tax matters, contracts, bankruptcy, and business consulting.
