Board of Visitors - LT Manuel Maddox

Since May 2013, LT Maddox has been Panels and Reports Manager at U.S. Coast Guard Recruiting Command in Arlington, VA.  He leads the Panels and Reports Team (PARTS), where he is responsible for officer scholarship and commissioning program application screening and processing; oversees effective assignment of Officer Candidate School (OCS) training quotas for selectees and collaborates to ensure the same for Direct Commission Officer (DCO) training quotas.  Previously at the same command, LT Maddox was Officer Program Coordinator for the USCG's Direct Commission Lawyer, Selected Reserve Direct Commission, Direct Commission Physician Assistant, and Officer Candidate School programs.

Prior to his current assignment, he served as a Duty Section Leader and Port State Control Examiner for U.S. Coast Guard, Sector Houston-Galveston (July 2009 – July 2012); Member, Marine Transportation System Recovery Unit for U.S. Coast Guard, Incident Command Post Mobile, AL (May 2010 – May 2010); Chief, Investigations and Environmental Response Branch (August 2008 – June 2009) and Assistant Chief, Prevention Department (March 2008 – September 2008), and Duty Inspector, (September 2006 – February 2008), U.S. Coast Guard, Marine Safety Unit Wilmington, NC; k of Transport Studies.
