I’ve been selected for verification, what’s that?

Verification is a process where the Department of Education randomly selects applicants for documentation to verify their FAFSA data. Verification is simply an additional step in the Financial Aid process, and so long as your FAFSA data is accurate, will not impede your application for aid. Applicants will receive a worksheet to fill out and will be required to verify their tax information.
