If I see a clinician off campus does USN BUMED and USCG need to be notified?

Yes. If you see an off-campus clinician and you receive a diagnosis, the United States Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (USN BUMED) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG) will need to be notified, with your written consent. The Midshipman Counseling & Personal Development (MCPD) clinical team will actively assist with applying for waivers with USN BUMED and USCG. Most students receive waivers for common mental health diagnoses.
