USMMA-AAF/USMMA Update

The US Merchant Marine Academy Alumni Association and Foundation (AAF) Chairman of the Board, John Arntzen ‘79, AAF President James Tobin ‘77, Deputy Maritime Administrator Michael Rodriguez ’79, and USMMA Superintendent, RADM James Helis, are meeting on a regular basis to strengthen the dialogue and partnership between the AAF and the Academy.  These discussions are taking place in addition to the regular monthly meetings between Mr. Tobin and RADM Helis.

The AAF, the Academy, and MARAD agree that a relationship built upon mutual respect and shared objectives that support the Academy’s mission and Strategic Plan is critical to the Academy’s future success.

The AAF, the Academy, and MARAD will continue these active, regular, substantive discussions to support the mission of the Academy and the Regiment of Midshipmen.
