As the new academic year gets underway, the United States Merchant Marine Academy holds its official Registration for First Term. This critical administrative day allows Midshipmen to finalize their academic schedules, utilizing the academy's online portal for course registration. Occurring just before First Term classes begin, this event also coincides with essential in-processing for returning Midshipmen and the turn-in of Sea Projects for upperclassmen returning from their shipboard training assignments. Ultimately, Registration for First Term ensures that the entire Regiment is administratively cleared and fully prepared to tackle the rigorous coursework ahead before the official start of classes and Academic Convocation.
