Indoctrination begins for the Class of 2030

The United States Merchant Marine Academy officially welcomes the incoming Class of 2030 as they begin their rigorous Indoctrination (Indoc) period. This challenging training program is the foundational first step in a Midshipman's career, designed to transition civilian appointees into disciplined Plebe Candidates. Under the guidance of the upperclassmen on the Indoc Detail, the new candidates will be immediately immersed in military drill, physical readiness training, maritime traditions, and the Academy’s core values. We wish the Class of 2030 the strength and resilience to embody our enduring motto, Acta Non Verba, as they embark on this defining journey at Kings Point.
