The United States Merchant Marine Academy proudly celebrates the Fourth of July. On this federal holiday, the Kings Point community pauses its routine academic and regimental duties to honor the birth of our nation and the enduring democratic freedoms our Midshipmen train to protect. This year holds profound significance as we join in the America 250 "Sail4th 250" festivities, commemorating 250 years of American independence and celebrating our nation's rich maritime heritage. We wish all Midshipmen, faculty, staff, and their families a safe, reflective, and joyous Independence Day.
