The start of First Term classes marks the official commencement of the rigorous academic year at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Following a busy summer of Sea Year training, Indoctrination, and administrative preparation, the Regiment of Midshipmen transitions its full attention to the demanding coursework required at Kings Point. Midshipmen will dive into their intensive studies across marine engineering, marine transportation, and various specialized disciplines critical to the Academy's maritime mission. As they step into the classrooms and laboratories, our students embody the enduring motto, Acta Non Verba, dedicating themselves to academic excellence and their future roles as licensed Merchant Marine Officers and commissioned military leaders.
