Bringing together faculty, staff, and students, this distinguished event celebrates Kings Point’s rigorous educational standards and its vital maritime mission. As the Academy's academic leadership sets the expectations and goals for the year ahead, midshipmen are reminded of the discipline, intellectual rigor, and integrity required to succeed both in the classroom and at sea. Embodying the enduring motto, Acta Non Verba, the Convocation reinforces the steadfast commitment to excellence expected of the nation's future licensed Merchant Marine Officers and commissioned military leaders.
