Instructions for Midshipmen not currently at sea
All Midshipmen are to report back to the Academy NLT 1700 Sunday 20 October.
The barracks will reopen at 1500 Saturday 19 October.
Midshipmen who arrive on Saturday must check-in with the CDO in the CDO’s office in Palmer Hall.
Meal Schedule.
Saturday: Dinner 1800-1900
Sunday: Brunch 1100-1300; Dinner 1730-1900.
There will be NO worship services on Sunday.
Physics and Calculus tutoring will be held as normal Sunday at 1930.
Monday 21 October will be a regular Monday Class Schedule.
Contact the CDO (516-497-0010) if you have questions, concerns, or encounter problems during your return travel.
Midshipmen Travel Instructions
If traveling By Car/bus/train: Return to the Academy. Keep all receipts. Once classes resume the Travel & Accounting Department will hold a class to assist you in the process of filing travel vouchers.
If traveling by commercial air carrier: Contact the Academy’s travel agency, Travel Professionals at tpi.travel@embarqmail.com or at 850-678-6688. They will make flight arrangements for your return from either your Home of Record or your current location. Please keep all receipts for expenses incurred during your return travel. Once classes resume the Travel & Accounting Department will hold a class to assist you in the process of filing travel vouchers.
PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH THE TRAVEL AGENTS; THEY WILL RESPOND TO YOUR PHONE MESSAGES AND E-MAILS—THERE IS NO NEED TO CALL OR E-MAIL MORE THAN ONCE.
Note: Midshipmen will only be reimbursed up to the cost of a one-way government ticket from their Home of Record. Midshipmen traveling from a location that is not their Home of Record where the cost of travel exceeds the government rate from their Home of Record will be required to reimburse the government the cost difference. Additionally, the cost/penalty for changing previously made personal flight arrangements will not be reimbursed.
