The Social Director orchestrates
much of what people typically think of as "midshipman
(or student) life." Mixers, dances, class
dinners, and formal balls are a large part of the
campus social scene, and keep the Social Director
and the midshipman staff busy.
The Social
Director is also responsible for such diverse duties
as "knife and fork school", dance lessons,
and other aspects of social etiquette education.
The Office also organizes the Sponsor Program and
works closely with the Student Council on quality
of life issues.
