        Sealift Communications & Cargo Loading

  Description:
This course is designed in response to lessons learned from recent sealift operations. 
Course participants will be able to begin the initial requirements for the NOBC's for:
    - NOBC 7901  Ship Activation Officer
    - NOBC 9425  Survey and Inspection Officer (Non-Engineering)
Officers will also gain familiarization with ICODES (Integrated Computerized Deployment System), enhancing communication with military cargo-handling personnel.

Communications training will include familiarization with Sealift Shipboard communications procedures including:
    - radio operating procedures
    - text messaging formatting
    - use of LOTUS Notes and TURBOPREP in message drafting exercises
    - PC to PC Transfer Systems (PPTS)
    - cryptographic equipment operating procedures

Additionally, course participants will receive certification in CBR-D.
