Basic Military Requirements (Navy)

Description:
Basic Military Requirements is the body of core knowledge common to all members of the Navy. All ratings are expected to be familiar with the organization, administration, and mission of the Navy, regulations, and Navy customs, honors and traditions. This course recognizes the Navy's increasing emphasis on basic military knowledge as well as rate specific.

The course of study completed in this program covered the topics: Naval History, Sea Power, Policies and Programs, Watch Standing, Communications, Safety, Naval Organization, Military Conduct, Uniform Regulations, Ship and Aircraft Characteristics, Customs and Courtesies, and Basic Seamanship.
