

The Office of External
Affairs is responsible for managing the Academy's daily
contact with alumni, parents, and visitors. From
Homecoming, to Boy Scout Weekend, to June Ball and Graduation,
OEA is the public face of the Academy. OEA staff
is responsible for the management of special events such
as lectures and dinners, and works closely with the food
service, Officer's Club and other departments.
OEA
is also responsible for arranging all organized tours
and visits of the campus. They also handle all requests
for use of Academy facilities by outside organizations.
Within the Office of External Affairs, the Public Information
Office responds to all press inquiries, and provides information
on the Academy to the local media, as well to the hometown
newspapers of students and graduates.
Finally,
OEA works closely with our four key support organizations,
the USMMA Alumni Foundation, the USMMA Parents Association,
the American Merchant Marine Museum, and the Kings Point
Maritime Association.
