

The Department
of Engineering Resources oversee all campus building programs.
Since 1980, the department has successfully executed the
following major renovations and construction projects:

Barracks Life Safety Renovations (1981-1987)

Construction of Gibbs Hall Math and
Science Building (1978-1979)

Construction of Department of Public
Works Facility (1980-1981)

Heating Plant Refurbishment (1990-1994)
-
Construction of Yocum Sailing Center
(1994-1995)

Mallory Pier Refurbishment (2000-2002)
The
Engineering Resource staff includes experienced professional
engineers and civil engineers. The staff is also
responsible for the execution of the 2001 Facility Master
Plan, a ten-year, $180 million effort that includes major
renovation of the dormitory complex, construction of new
library and academic facilities, as well as refurbishment
of virtually every Academy facility. The Academy
works closely with the Naval
Facilities Engineering Command in the design and execution
of major projects.
The
Engineering Resource staff is also responsible for maintenance
and repair of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning
systems on campus, the alarm and fire protection systems,
and other key utility systems.
